Don’t know why by Norah Jones

As we know that Jazz is a type of lively music with strong, complex rhythms.
Norah Jones’Jazz represented a break from Western musical traditions, where the composer wrote a piece of music on paper and the musicians then tried
their best to play exactly what was in the score.

Norah Jones had achingly heartfelt voice which I admire .Together with the soft instruments like guitar and piano, her jazz is greatly sentimental and peaceful.
Just the song we need after a hard day in the fast society to calm us down.

The Start Of Something-Voxtrot

Combining elements of twee, jangly guitars, poingnant 60's melody Austin's Voxtrot creates
a perfect goulash of catchy tunes reminisce of 80s definitive indie act,The Smiths and recent twee heavyweights, Belle and Sebastian packaged neatly and presented to you in the most presentable but fragile box that is their song from their latest single 'Raised By Wolves',The Start of Something.

Immersing us in lyrical inclinity and melodical genius, their
sound is what every other indie band is trying to achieve but falls short of.
From frontman Ramesh Srivastava, subtle longing vocals to guitar works that hints of the call for shuffling feets, listeners get to dwell in an unorthodox aural oddity that is one of an uplifting sad music.

Srivastava's knack for retro-fitting lyrics with the song's core melodies is the underlying
factor behind the song's coming together.Without it,lyrics such as, 'don't call me boring/it's just cause i like you'would simply sound awkward and simply fall apart and into the pigeon hold of 'half-there' songs. And lyrics are the song's strong point, with uber-sweet statements such as 'come by and see me i'm a love letter away' or 'i break the law once every week
to feel your touch',screams of utter cheesiness but ultimately a do or die effort in which they ended up triumphiant nonetheless. And not to mention the generic but oh-so-jumpy solo
which nails, hard, whatever intended sound the band tried to achieve in this song; The icing to the
three layered cake.

So with everything at hand, all they have to do is mix it together and out of all that talent, what you get is the perfect love-lost anthem. A justifiable cause for all the hype that they've generated throughout the indie circuit.

我怀念的

A sentimental song. The reason that I chose this song is because of the lyrics.
It tells a memory of a couple. How the girl still loves the guy after the break-up.

The part of lyrics that I like...

我该相信你很爱我
不愿意敷衍我
还是明白你已不想挽回什么

我怀念的是无话不说
我怀念的是一起作梦
我怀念的是争吵以后
还是想要爱你的冲动

"Heroin" by The Velvet Underground from the album
The Velvet Underground and Nico

Alongside lyrics written by the band's vocalist and lead guitarist, Lou Reed, describing life as a junkie, "Heroin" features John Cale's humming viola, and hypnotic drum patterns by Moe Tucker. The song begins slowly, with the tempo gradually increasing, mimicking the high one would receive from the drug, until a frantic climax is reached, marked with a shrieking viola. The song then slows to the original tempo, and repeats the same pattern before ending.

The lyrics were far from glorifying the use of drugs; they explore the psychology of personal destruction. Abusing Heroin is seen as an attempt at salvation, relief or escape. "I'm gonna try to nullify my life", Lou Reed sings. The narrator believes that drugs will liberate him from the strict confines of the city and the hordes of people surrounding him:

Because when the smack begins to flow
I really don't care any more
About all the Jim-Jims in this town
And all the politicians making crazy sounds
And everybody putting everybody else down
And all the dead bodies piled up in mounds

Released in 1967, its subject was seen as subversive to many, but the concept and sound influenced many later artists and bands like David Bowie, The Ramones and The Clash.

Jazz & Hip Hop Soul

Jazz is a musical art form that originated in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States around the start of the 20th century. Jazz uses improvisation, blue notes, swing, call and response, polyrhythms, and syncopation, and blends African American musical styles with Western music technique and theory.

Hip hop soul is the second major subgenre of contemporary R&B. The term generally describes a style of music that blends soulful R&B singing and raw hip hop production. The genre served as the middle point between two other hip hop/R&B blends, new jack swing and neo soul, and while it was most popular during the mid-1990s with artists such as Jodeci and Aaliyah, it still finds popularity with newcomers such as Keyshia Cole and John Legend.
